Silver Lining: The Journey from then till now by Dotun Akande

Early this year, the idea to have a film with Autism as the subject weighed heavily on my mind.  As the Proprietress of Patrick Speech and Languages Centre, a school that works with children with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome and other developmental disabilities, I am constantly seeking ways to create awareness about the condition. My experience had taught me that the average Nigerian knows little or nothing about the condition, if they do, they are ashamed to be identified with people that have it. And finally they think it is a death sentence with no hope in sight. I wanted reach out to let them know that this does not have to be the case. That was what led me to reach out to Nollywood; precisely the producer, Emem Isong of the Royal Arts Academy.

The first film on AUTISM in Nigeria now available for sale on DVD.
