On the 22nd of October, 2010, all the children and staff of Patrick Speech and Languages Centre had their “Day Out”.  The entire centre visited the Fun Place at Adebola House, Ikeja, Lagos State.

The children were allowed to enjoy themselves with toys, trains, bouncing castle and other facilities made available at the Fun Place.  Our functional children who can handle the electrical cars were also given opportunity to ride them independently; the children had lots of fun.

The Proprietress and some of the parents that could come also joined us at the venue to spend some times with the children. This outing was particularly of great importance to the centre in the sense that it helped the children to build their social skills because children with special needs on the spectrum usually have some Social Issues in the area of communication and expression.

They sometimes find it difficult relating with one another or other children, but at the Fun Place they displayed a lot of skill in themselves and eventually had great fun.
