Dear Friends, The fourth annual World Autism Awareness Day is April 2, 2011. Every year, autism organizations around the world celebrate the day with unique fundraising and awareness-raising events.
This year we will not be able to walk our usual mile in support of Autism. This is as a result of the restriction of movement on the 2nd by
the Government due to the upcoming elections.
Therefore, the management, parents, and staff of Patrick Speech and
Languages Centre, Lagos, Nigeria, this year, are pleased to show their
support of autism advocacy, awareness, and research by encouraging all
our friends to participate in the Autism Speaks’ “Light it Up Blue Campaign” (LIUB), in recognition of World Autism Awareness Day on
Saturday, April 2.

We hereby encourage our friends to please put on a blue light or put
on something blue throughout the month of April in support of Autism
Awareness. You can also save a child by donating to the Patricks
Scholarship Fund, Sponsor our parents dinner dance for families coping
with autism in Nigeria or Viewing autism-themed films. For more information on any of this sponsorship please do not hesitate to
contact us on 08033019865 or email us at pslc-autism@yahoo.com. |
